She taps on the door, and waits.

Max, apparently attuned to the whisper-quiet sound of her slippers against the metal floor, is already lumbering up to his feet and waddling over to the door, yapping excitedly. Either he knows it's his new best friend, or he's just bored as hell watching Hercules work on paperwork.

He can sympathize.
